Kris grew up in a small rural town north of Ottawa and now resides in Burlington with his wife Tina, their 3 young children, and Beau, their rescue puppy.
Kris took a unique route into the financial services industry — a route that exemplifies his passion for helping and protecting people. Kris comes from a background in emergency services and has trained extensively in assisting people in emergency situations. Combined with his training in the financial services industry, Kris has incorporated this helping-and-protecting approach into the planning he does for clients.
Serving as an independent financial advisor since 2007, Kris has had a great deal of experience in working with retirees, business owners, and families. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Certified Health Specialist designations and has completed the Canadian Securities Course, Life License Qualification Program, the Canadian Investment Funds Course, the Wealth Management Essentials Course and Conduct & Practices Handbook Course. He is also a published author and host of “The Ride” podcast.
Kris volunteers as an instructor for the Dollars With Sense program, which teaches grade 7 students about personal finances. He and his wife Tina are also involved in their community and in numerous charities and fundraising activities.
Kris enjoys the outdoors and cottage life, attending all of his kids’ activities and sports, playing guitar and practicing martial arts with his kids.
